Specialising in domestic hot water supply, heating and air conditioning, Saunier Duval was the first company to develop a wall-mounted combination gas boiler, a room sealed boiler, a heater without a pilot flame, and a wall-mounted direct condensing boiler, among other tecnhological innovations aimed at increasing fuel economy and providing environment-friendly comfort and safety.

In 1997, Saunier Duval set up a manufacturing plant in Vitoria which develops and manufactures heat pumps and air-conditioning equipments. The plant reflects the Group's bet on climatisation as one of their market-based strategic development lines.
